Secondary School Admissions
The London Borough of Wandsworth offers a wide variety of secondary schools. There are various types of school, and within these there are different types of places available.

Types of School
Academy |
A state funded independent school where the governors are responsible for the admissions policy. |
Community School |
A school or college where the council is responsible for the admissions policy. |
Voluntary Aided |
A faith school or college where the governors are responsible for the admissions policy. |
Types of School Places
Selective |
Places offered to children who score highest in the Wandsworth Year 6 Test. |
Specialist |
Places offered to children who score highest in an assessment process to decide whether they have a particular aptitude for a specialist subject. |
Non-selective |
Places offered to children who have highest priority under criteria other than those for selective or specialist places. |
Banding |
Some schools also divide children applying for non-selective places into ability bands, based on children's scores in the Wandsworth Year 6 test. They offer an equal number of places in each band to make sure that children of all abilities are admitted. |

Please visit Wandsworth Council's admissions website (www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions) and click on the 'Secondary School Admissions' button.
Apply online at www.eadmissions.org from 1st September 2022 until 31st October 2022 and you will receive a confirmation email.
If you cannot apply online, the Wandsworth Common Application Form can be downloaded as a fillable PDF form (Application for Admission to Year 7). You can also print and post the completed application form. This must be received by the close of business on 31st October 2022. You will be sent an acknowledgement.
Notification of Outcomes for Secondary School Admission for September 2022
If you applied online you will be emailed the outcome of your application on the evening of 1st March 2023 from the London eAdmissions Team.
If you applied on a paper form, you will receive an outcome letter by first class mail on 1st March 2023.
If you are not offered a place at a school of your preference, your child will be placed on a waiting list. You have the right to appeal against the decision to refuse a place.
